Solar Charge Controller / Regulator

A charge controller is required to prevent over-charging battery and short circuit the solar panel diode under load.

A charge controller also provide battery status which is vital to the user.

Solar panel installation is calculated based on winter requirements. Summer sun can produce up to 3 times as much power compared to winter which WILL overcharge the battery!

    MPPT includes a sweep-function which runs through the whole solar-panel voltage range once every 2 hours to find the point of the absolute maximum power output.

    The temperature-compensated three-stage I-U curve charge regulation algorithm significantly extends the lifespan of your battery.

    The possibility to use less expensive grid-tied large solar panels with up to 95V open circuit voltage for 12V or 24V stand-alone systems will significantly reduce the cost of the total system.

To charge battery using solar panel that is not 12V or 24V, a MPPT controller is needed.  Connect solar in series and a MPPT solar charge  controller will automatically convert to 12/24V.
